So You Think You Can Dance - Top 20

So, I'm not 100% sure this will turn into a weekly blog what with DWTS only halfway through its season and American Idol fast approaching, but another of my FAVORITE reality/contestant shows is SYTYCD and they announced their Top 20 contestants after weeks of auditions, last night.

Below this post is a link to a little video that was made during their photo shoot, and I'll post some quick descriptions of the contestants to help you follow along.

Last night, this was the order in which the contestants were given the news that they had made the Top 20.

Nathan Trasoras is a Contemporary dancer who tried out during Season 5 but he was only 17 and too young to compete. But he was so good, the judges gave him a ticket to Vegas Week for this season. At 18, he's the youngest contestant on the show this season.

Kathryn McCormick is another Contemporary dancer. She's annoying because whenever she starts to cry, which is every time she's being interviewed on camera, her voice gets higher and higher and higher until it reaches the point where only dogs can hear her speaking.

Arianna DeBose, also a Contemporary dancer, not featured much throughout Vegas Week, we don't know much about her yet.

Ellenore Scott is a Jazz dancer.

Billy Bell is the 19 year old cutie Contemporary dancer with the Juilliard scholarship that has been put on hold so he could do the show. That was pretty nice of them!

Russell Ferguson is the first Krumper to compete on SYTYCD

Kevin Hunte is a Hip Hop dancer.

Bianca Revels is the 1st Tapper to make it on to the show, but she will be joined by 2 other Tappers this season: Phillip Attmore who complained over the mic to the judges after his group performance in Vegas, and Peter Sabasino.

Victor Smalley is the Contemporary dancer who was told to change his crappy hairstyle and did.

Jakob Karr, also Contemporary.

Cutie patooty Mollee Gray, a Jazz Dancer, is just a bundle full of energy and blonde sunshine. She's 20 years old but looks and acts like a 13 year old. She's been criticized for dancing like a 13 year old as well. She's really good, but kind of annoying because of all of bouncy bubbliness she exudes.

Pauline Mata, another Contemporary dancer, sprained her ankle at the end of the Broadway day in Vegas and wasn't able to perform her last solo for the judges, but she made it into the Top 20.

Noelle Marsh, Mollee's Vegas roomie and new BFF is also a Contemporary Dancer and makes it through to the Top 20.

Legacy Perez, the B-Boy who is in love with his shoes has made it.

Married Ballroom couple, Ryan and Ashleigh Di Lello are through, along with Ballroom Dancer Karen Hauer, whose husband was cut during Vegas week.

So, there's the run down. So far my favorites are Nathan, Arianna, Billy, Russell, Mollee, and the married Ballroom couple, Ryan & Ashleigh.
